Pa o te ha means 'meeting of the life essence'.
This pattern designed by my daughter Ariana (Ngati Toarangatira, Ngati Raukawa, Ngapuhi) was inspired by a combination of kowhaiwhai (Maori painted ornamentation) and Norse and Celtic knotwork designs and represents the coalescence her Maori and Pakeha ancestry.
Original artwork is printed onto fabric using colourfast pigments and has been made into these unique, original cushions.
Top panel is genuine maroon coloured leather. Cotton print. 40cm sq, zipped back. Inner included.
